Andy, this was the first piece I read from you and I just wanted to say it was deep yet digestible, serious yet entertaining, and overall worth re-reading and sharing. I did not expect to be this enlightened after my commute! Thank you very much for this
Particularly enjoyed the thread on conditioning. “The main preoccupation of society is keeping people sick.” You might enjoy Awareness by Tony De Mello - recommend by Naval Ravikant, Eckhart Tolle, and Tim Ferris (not a bad list)…
I’m part of the prestigious Main Street Hub mafia of Austin Texas. I only brag about this to Silicon Valley Hotshots who respect this kind of business/street cred. :)
Lol I love how you don’t take yourself to seriously. Your tools are so practical I think anyone can improve after reading this (and come back to it over and over again.) each year I spend “in the tech start up” life requires a new mindset and few understand how tough it can be who have not done it themselves. I think periodically “subtracting” is one of the most underrated keys to success. We only have so much time and energy we have to focus it where it matters and where we get the best results. This is an art.
Andy, I would love to read and learn on "deprogramming" the self from beliefs that have been drummed into us from childhood and by the culture at-large in adulthood. Please consider writing an essay on deprogramming. Thanks!
"In the language of spirituality, an ‘Awakening’ is the processing of deprogramming a belief, and an ‘Enlightenment’ is the state of fully deprogramming from all beliefs."
As always. Fantastic.

Working w/ the coach and therapist to unbundle the T's.
What I particularly love here is the piece around knowing who you were before you knew who you were. I'm still sitting with this one....
Thanks for writing and please keep it up.

Outstanding observation:
